Where is the Best Thai Food in Nashville, Tennessee?

This was our third trip to Siam and the third time was the charm. While I’ve always enjoyed our dinners I think the first team might be in on Saturday night. Tonight’s meal was perfect. I had the basil, peppers and onions with chicken. The vegetables were perfectly seared with the sweet carmelization you hope for. The sauce was a little sweet with a nice hot finish. The wife had mixed vegetables in a brown sauce. She asked to have her tofu fried and they gladly accommodated her. The sauce, she tells me, was perfectly balanced and the vegetables were cooked the way she likes them, crisp but not raw. The boy had the scallop special (he always orders the most expensive dish.) He said it was great and he finished everything on his plate. With two appetizers and a desert (no liquor and one soda) the bill was under $50. We’ll be back.Pros + Great food and good service in a tasteful room at affordable pricesCons – It would be better if it was closer to my home.

I want to state by saying that this is the best Thai restaurant Nashville has. After living in Seattle for 5 years and eating a lot of Thai, i was dying for some after we moved to Nashville. We tried a lot and this place was by far my favorite. On to the review. It isn’t much to look at, but that never stopped me from trying any restaurant. Upon entering, I found the restaurant nicely decorated and service to be above average. I have had a lot of meals, but one of my favorites is a dish with basil, chicken, and vegetables in a brown sauce (can’t remember thai name). It is extremely healthy. My wife gets Phad Thai every time we go and loves it. Lastly, we got bean ice cream last time we went and loved it.So go try it out and furthermore, write your review. Pros + Authenticity, fresh, taste, warm, serviceCons – curb appeal

We enjoyed some good to great food at Mambu recently. The drinks, however, are not good. We ordered some margaritas and mojitos. The margarita tastes like it comes from a bottle of bad sour mix, the mojitos are the worst I have ever tasted (imagine liquid spearmint gum). We went a backup bottle of wine – too bad it was served at about 85 degrees (note to owner/bar manager: you need to chill white wine and slightly chill red wine to about 55-60 degrees). It’s too bad that you cannot get a great meal and a great drink at Mambu, hopefully they will read this and make it an even better experience!Pros + Food, service, venueCons – Drinks, Drinks, Drinks… Wow.

Ask to be seated in the dining area if you want to order you own food and not eat from the buffett (which is also avaliable at dinner).I arrived in from Houston, TX and saw this place on citysearch – after some difficulty finding it I pulled up and things only got better. The beef panag was the best I’ve ever had, period. The chicken pad thai was also excellent (also the best I’ve ever had). To give you an idea of what I mean- I travel quite a bit and always locate the local thai restaurants – and have eaten at almost every thai restaurant in Houston over the last few years (dozens of them). This really is a gem – it made me sad to know that we don’t have such exceptional food in Houston. For anyone that loves thai this is a much needed dining experience.Everything is hot and fresh – and it’s super quaint.Pros + best thai food EVER, romantic, smallCons – not good for larger (20+) groups because it is small…

I have been going to Basil Asian Bistro since shortly after they opened and it remains one of my favorite places. I have never been disappointed! The decor is clean and contemporary, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I?ve tried several dishes on the menu and each time I try something new, it makes my decision the next time all the more difficult. Everything is so good and the presentation is well done! My favorites include the Green Curry and Panang curry dishes, as well as the Ginger Shrimp, and Basil?s Chicken. For a light appetizer, I really enjoy the Cucumber Salad. The Summer Rolls are generous, and the Hot and Sour and Coconut soups are also terrific! For dessert I would suggest the Banana Spring Rolls. Enough said before I end up posting the whole menu. Prices are very reasonable.
