Where is the Best Vegetarian Food in Los Angeles, California?
This place is fun to go. The food is very generous and good. The entertainment is fun. You can sit and enjoy your dinner and watch others dancing or when the Belly Dancers start performinng. The service is great. here is a flat charge- which includes a wonderful Armenian Style dinner – where everything is on the table with good portions or you can order from the menu. We really enjoyed the place and the price is great in comparison to other restaurants with entertainment. Pros + Fun to go there! You can dance all night!!!
I first heard of this restaurant on the news one morning, a couple of years ago. I live in Pasadena and rarely, if ever go to the West side of town. However, I am vegan and always kept this restaurant in the back of my mind. Well my son and I finally went this past Sunday (1/25/09) to the La Cienega location. They sat us right away, the host was very friendly and polite. After reading all the reviews, I must say our order did take a while to get to us. Especially when we ordered desert. That took a long time, and my son commented, “are they baking it or something? Don’t they have it already made??” Thankfully, we weren’t in a hurry, and I was enjoying my evening. BUT…the food is fabulous! Its been many years since I’ve looked at a menu and didn’t have to figure out what I was going to eat. To be able to eat anything on that menu was liberating! I was there last week for the first time, ready for possible disappointments after reading the reviews here…But there were none. I found the food to be extremely good and “clean”. If you are addicted to screeching tastes this is not your place, but if you have a detoxified palate, this is your temple.The service was great. 2 waitresses were always vigilant and ready to answer questions with a big smile. The food came promptly and wasn’t rushed away when finished.The Hollywoodian looking crowd was easy prey for gossip, and there was a celebrity dining next to us, but no attitude, just interesting, calm individuals. A nice utopian mix of everything, with soothing energy that made the food even better.Was it my lucky day? Maybe. Just in case, I’ll be checking Inaka frequently. The Newsroom is a great restaurant for those looking to eat healthy food. They have a Newsstand full of all kinds of magazines you can read while you wait for a table. There are many celebrities there and The Ivy is right across the street so you will always see a famous person. The food and atmosphere were amazing! I just wish it didn’t take so long for a table! I would murder or marry for the DELICIOUS food prepared by The Chicken Lady!If you haven’t had her Ceasar Chicken Sandwich, her mac and cheese, her thai sticks, her mesquite sticks, or her dessert…YOU HAVEN’T LIVED!THE FOOD, THE SERVICE, THE ATMOSPHERE IS SO PLEASANT! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED! I have eaten her food now for four days in a row! I need a rehabilitation program…STAT!My first time eating there was Friday, the food was so good I had to return the next day, and I saved some for yesterday and I’m finishing the last bit today for lunch!Pros + THE MOST DELIGHTFUL LUNCH EXPERIENCECons – NOT OPEN FOR DINNER 🙁
