My wife and I drove up to Seattle from Portland for a romantic weekend. We went to Ivar’s Acres of Clams for Sunday Brunch based on it’s reputation.I was very excited about this as I’m a huge seafood guy. I have to say, however, that the brunch as average at best. The clams and mussels were a bit cold. The Eggs Benedict and breakfast sausages were very cold. In fact the hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict had thickened….The oysters were good and the crab legs were good. The $3 bloody mary was literally tomato juice and Vodka.I’d like to visit Ivars again and dine when it’s not Brunch time so I can try their regular menu. The Brunch I’ll not be back for….Pros + Their Regular Menu has potential…I’ll be back to try it next timeCons – The Brunch as not Great

now i know what you’re going to say- what kind of idiot orders mojitos in the dead of winter? well…. after flying home from our two week vacation in Miami, my boyfriend and I stopped into the BluWater on Lake Union. We had actually been heading to I love Sushi, but they were closed. When we sat at the bar the bartender was picking mint leaves, which is what started off our conversation. After explaining that we had just returned from our tropical vacation, the bartender challenged us that he could make a mojito just as fantastic as any we had tried… who doesn’t accept a that kind of bet? i hate to admit it, BUT THE DRINKS WERE AWESOME!!! we ended up staying for some late night happy hour and a little Sportcenter, and had a great time with our new friend 🙂 I hadn’t been to Bluwater in over a year, but I’ll be back now! Thanks to Matt, who made our first night back in rainy cold seattle a real treat.

I don’t eat any seafood, but my friends who do love this place, and I know that their fries are good. Also they stay open really late on the weekends, so I love them anyway! The fact that I can get some grub before the last ferry leaves is amazing to me and makes my life that much better! Also the staff is very helpful and friendly!

If you haven’t been to Six Seven @ The Edgewater lately, it’s high time you try it again!!! We had an incredible meal, and the service was friendly , courteous, and knowledgeable. The new Fall menu is one of the most creative I have seen as far as flavor combination’s and execution. I also enjoyed the portion sizes, not too big, not too small, and for the smaller appetites, you are able to order half portions for many of the dishes. We each had an appetizer, the Gnocchi and the Autumn Risotto. I can’t say enough about the presentation of the dishes and the genius building of flavors! I wanted to try something different for my entree than what my husband was ordering, but I couldn’t tear myself away from the scrumptious description of the Scarlet Snapper. It was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth delicious! I would go back again and again for that dish alone!!! I really could go on and on about the food, but you’ll just have to see for yourself! The view was amazing, the water,
