Covered may be the size of a dorm room, but their stock is always fresh, gorgeous and unusual. Plus, they carry hard-to-find jeans and will spend FOREVER with you to find the right pair. I went in and spent two hours trying on every jean in the store, and not only was the shopgirl really patient and helpful, she actually gave me honest feedback instead of the generic “that looks great!”. If I could max out my credit cards anywhere in Mpls, I might have to pick Covered.

Cool, fun, chic clothes — not overly outrageous for all sizes. It the only place I go when I need something with spice or a new stand out piece in my wardrobe.

Ah Nordstrom! It’s the clothing store that makes men broke. But can you really put a price on 5 star service? The next closest Nordstrom is all the way in Chicago. The men’s department is about 20% the size of the womens department, but has a good enough selection. I found the only “shiny” dress shoes in town for $200. Socks are long lasting and comfortable at about $15 pair. I bought an assortment of bling, bling ties for about $100 a pop (not recommended). And I also bought 8 high end american boss and joseph aboud suits (about $800 a pop). They really take care of you and tailor your suit the way you like it like skinny on the torso. I also found a spectacular camel hair winter long coat. If you’re looking for Italian suits, you high roller, then go take a weekend to Chicago’s Miracle Mile Nordstrom and they have 4 Italian suit sections!!Pros + environment, quality, serviceCons – price
