Where is the low-side service port on a 2002 Dodge Neon?
It is hot as hell today in California and I bought R-134a refrigerant to recharge the A/C in my car three weeks ago. I want to do this myself. I think I found the low-side service port under the hood of my neon on the right passenger side; if it looks like a mega-sized version of the valve stem that is on the tires of my car, where air is inflated in for the tires. I have the hose for the R-134a can, it just will not stay on the part that I think is the low-side service port. Each week I have gone out to the car turned the a/c on max, put on a pair of kitchen living gloves and stunner sunshades for safety, lifted up the hood and not been able to recharge the A/C. I do not want to be another ER victim so I would appreciate some detailes step by step help. A: it’s buried down by the compressor, just follow the lines going to the compressor, you can barely get your hand on it.
