Where is the market headed?

The answer to this question will vary greatly with from one breeder to the other. My personal opinion is based on various assumptions that may or may not be accurate. 1. The farm raised market from Africa has peaked or will peak soon for normals and will be targeted more to specials! This will probably cause the market for normals to dry up somewhat in the next 5 years and bring a better price for your captive bred babies! 2. The recessive market seems to already be increasing in popularity due to the need for crosses with the saturated co-dom market. 3. Ball Pythons will be at the top of the heap for a very long time but the dwarf type Boas will get a decent market share. 4. The market for supplies such as racks, bedding, etc. will get more competitive and the profit margin will decrease significantly. This will drive a lot of snake breeders that are supplimenting their income out of the supplies business.
