Where is the Outland in World of Warcraft?
Outland, sometimes referred to as Outlands, is the floating remains of Draenor. Draenor was once a planet and home to the Draenei and Orcs who relocated to Kalimdor after it was destroyed. The planet was destroyed by an Alliance expedition wishing to rid the universe of Orcs via the use of the Dark Portal. During the battle, Ner’zhul attempted to open multiple portals to allow the Orcs to escape but this tore the world apart in the process. Draenor split into pieces that float about Azeroth in the Nether and has since been called Outland. Once Outland settled, Magtheridon took control of the remains and drew demons from different planes of existence to help him keep power. Magtheridon was defeated by Illidan Stormrage and his followers but shortly after his own defeat at the hands of Prince Arthas, Stormrage returned to Outland to rule.
