Where is UCSB located?
The University of California is located on 989 acres of the California coast about 8 miles northwest of Santa Barbara and 90 miles north of Los Angeles, within Santa Barbara County. The foothills of the Santa Ynez and Sierra Madre Mountains and the Los Padres National Forest skirt the city of Santa Barbara. It is a scenic city on the central Pacific coast of California and is often referred to as the “American Riviera” because of its Mediterranean climate. Santa Barbara is also known for its rich variety of cultural arts and current events.
