Lightning arrestors are highly recommended for system stability. CFQ and CFM series equipment requires lightning arrestor to be installed at ODU/FODU side and at user equipment side. CFIP series equipment has built-in lightning protection, and it is required to install lightning arrestors only at user equipment side.
