where to buy exotic fruit?
Michael “pancake snob” N. says: I’m a bit of a fruit fiend… I blame it on my sweet tooth. I don’t eat candy so what does that leave? Fruit! About half of my weekly food costs are fruit – some weeks it’s more fruit than non-fruit – I kid you not. Anyways – I especially love strange and exotic fruit. I mean, don’t get me wrong – there’s nothing better than fresh blueberries or a ripe peach – but I really love trying all sorts of new flavors from foreign lands that I’ve never been to. I do most of my fruit shopping at Wilson Farms. It is awesome. However, they specialize more in locally produce fruit than exotic, though they always do have a decent selection of more exotic stuffs. I’m hoping to find a place where I can more reliably get my strange fruit fix. I’ve heard of super88 having a good selection – but whenever I’ve been there (I live about two blocks away) – I’ve only seen normal American fruit. Baldor can get large quantities of fruit but they really cater more towards restaura
