Where to go in Wisconsin Dells?
Pauline “Lucky Penny” M. says: My boyfriend and I visited last year on a whim one weekend. We had a blast! We didn’t have plans or a hotel room- we decided to stay two nights and drove on up. We stayed at the Americinn- cheesy name, I know. But it was CHEAP and comfortable. Well maintained and pretty close to the action. Our first night there we didn’t really have any plans. There was a mullet convention…. oops I mean a “classic american car” show going on- so there was a parade of people and cars everyday on the strip. We did the Duck tour which is a must. It’s a nice way to see the beauty and the kids that drive the amphibious vehicles are HILARIOUS- often doing it to supplement their educations. Always a fun time! We ate at the German place on the strip- it was ok food, but it’s hard to find really good food in the Dells. Moosejaw was good in an Outback kind of way- nice American food, nice service. Maybe in one of the nicer hotels? Just stick to the fast food if you can and drink
