Jimmy, very resourceful! Yes, you should go to the Chinese school near where you live. BUT not with the kindergarten. Tell them you want to be with the kids your age and you that you just want to be in a Cantonese speaking environment. Tell them you are not there to learn, but just exposure to colloquial Cantonese. I did this this before when i was 15, so should work. Also, look around and ask people if they know a Cantonese tutor. Listen to Cantonese music, watch Cantonese tv shows/movies (online etc.). Review everyday! Also, look if a nearby community college offers any classes, go there. Then when in college, see if you can major in it (better idea to double major though). Then after college go to HK/Guangdong to teach English. Good luck and stay motivated!
