Where to start with homeschooling?
Pulling my kids out of public school was a big decision for me. I never felt I had the patience or resources to be a teacher and only came to the conclusion that I needed to homeschool my boys after realizing that our local public school was doing more harm than good. We’re not talking about a problem school either, it was a very well ranked, upscale, local public school. Thank goodness there are so many homeschool options these days. Most states have public charter schools that offer a homeschooling option. What this means is that the charter will provide you with curriculum, resources and support for teaching your kids. They also provide some accountability as you will need to meet with your school on a regular basis to turn in assignments, lesson plans, learning records and get any help or guidance that you need.
