Where will the water be resourced from to augment 24/7 water supply?
The Phase 1 of the distribution reforms project is primarily concerned with managing the existing water resource in a better and more professional manner. DJB had carried out an engineering consultancy study, which had metered the water flowing into these two zones, and has assessed the net water available now. The study has revealed that it is possible to achieve continuous water supply with the existing water resource. However, these zones also fall in the command area of Sonia Vihar treatment plant, which will supplement the existing water resource availability. It is clarified that water supply to these zones shall not be done by diverting water from any other zone.
