Where would I make more money, hostess at upscale restraurant, or server at upscale fondue restaurant?

You can make more money at a Fondue Place. When was the last time I tipped a hostess? Never. Fondue places are not cheap so you'll make good money on tips. I also think that men on dates will want to impress their date and leave you a bigger tip to WOW his date. On a negative note, depending on where the Fondue restaurant is, you may only get a full crowd on weekends. Fondue meals take a long time and are not likely to get lots of customers during the week. If possible, you may want to limit working there to just friday and saturday nights and find another server job for weekdays at a place that is consistently busy. Chain restaurants near malls do fairly well during the week.  more
