The owner of the wallaby that went on walkabout has hopped forward. San Bernardino City Animal Control officials say they've received proof that the owner, whose name wasn't released, is licensed to have exotic animals. The woman faxed a permit, which indicated Walter was being kept at a facility called Exotic Barnyard in Butte County. But the facility is closed, said Ken Childress, animal control director, and no one has been able to reach her. Walter was jumping around a north Fontana neighborhood Tuesday after breaking loose from the watch of his sitter.
