whether kylie cosmetics products worth the money??
I have tried the liquid lipsticks and they are very pigmented and feel like they are high quality. I also saw the new eyeshadow palette she has out and I love the colors. I am guessing it is high quality, just like the lipsticks. I wouldn’t say it’s better than makeup you can find at Sephora. However, if you are a Kylie Jenner fan, it may be fun to add to your makeup collection.
While not the most informed person of this line–as I have only ever tried one liquid lipstick and one gloss–I would say the majority of the line is over-hyped. I don’t remember the shades that I tried, and I lost them during my most recent move. However, I distinctly remember the liquid lipstick crumbling and flaking off in chunks. It was really gross and I couldn’t remove it until the end of the day because the product only came off with coconut oil and makeup remover. For the price I paid, I could have spent it on a better high end liquid lipstick or even delved into NYX’s drugstore line and received much better quality.
On the other hand, the gloss I tried was pretty good. It wasn’t crazily priced like her other products. They felt very moisturizing on my lips and I enjoyed wearing it throughout the day; the product lasted all day without reapplication. BUT you are paying primarily for the name. You can get three glosses of the same quality from NYX Buttergloss collection for every one you buy from Kylie Cosmetics, so that is something to consider.
As someone who loves to find dupes and save money, I would say don’t purchase anything from the line. But if collecting high end makeup is your thing, then I would go try out the glosses. I would also watch some YouTubers/ beauty gurus who are budget buyers. By making sure they keep into account drugstore makeup, they really evaluate the quality of the product for what you are paying for. A favorite channel of mine is Zabrena if you need a recommendation.
