Go for the highest capacity you can find – 2650mAh in this case – and pick the biggest names. That’s all you can do, really. Stick with NiMH, avoid NiCad. Personally, however, I eschew rechargeables in favour of Energiser Lithiums like the previous answerer. They’re expensive but they last quite a long time and are more dependable than rechargeables. Edit: Your camera sounds fairly old and it may not have been designed with rechargeables in mind – a NiMH cell can only deliver 1.2V -if you need four of them, you’re only delivering 4.8V into the camera and it might not appreciate that. And, as soon as they start to lose power, your camera might give up – whereas lithiums can afford to lose considerable power/voltage before the camera suffers.
