Which are the strongest animals, carnivorous or vegetarian?

If by "strong" you mean the ability to carry or drag an object, I’d say the vegitarians are the strongest ie elephants, oxen, etc. If "strong" has to do with endurance I’d say that birds (primarily carnivores) have the edge due to the long distances traveled in migration. If "strong" has anything to do with overpowering others, then carnivores are the strongest. Think about the different kind of strength a marathoner, kickboxer, and weight lifter have. Different kinds of strength, but all equally impressive. Outside mamals, I’d say that bettles and ants are the strongest creatures (carnivore and vegans being the same). It is amazing how much a beetle can lift compared to their body weight.  more
