Which channel number should be written in the diary – the channel number from the cable box or the channel number from the TV listing?

When making entries in the “Chan. No.” column, please write in the cable channel number if the set is connected to cable. If it is not connected to cable, write in the broadcast channel number. Be sure to also enter the station call letters (or channel name) and name of the program so we can identify the channel. Please be consistent in your entries throughout the diary.
