This is just opinion, having gone through countless coffee making devices in the last 10 years or so, but... I think if you want really hot coffee, you may want to consider alternatives to a drip brew coffee maker. The hottest coffee I’ve been able to brew at home has come from either a percolator or a vaccuum pot. If you want boiling hot, the percolator is a safe bet. The technology works by boiling the coffee, so when it’s done brewing, the temperature will be close to that heat (see <a rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_percolator" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_percolator</a>). Some people feel that brewing with a percolator ruins the taste (because of the boiling involved in the brewing process). Others love the taste of coffee from a percolator.
