Which country did Buddhism and Judaism originate from?
Buddhism — I’m not sure. As for Judaism, it depends on how far back you want to trace it. The father of their faith was Abraham. He was originally from the city of Ur in Mesopotamia. He and his family were semi-nomadic. He traveled up the right side of the Fertile Cresent, followed it’s curve (below Asia Minor) and once further west, followed it down toward Egypt. With Isaac and Jacob, the knowledge of Yahweh spread, but they were not yet “his people” in a formal way recognized by others. After the offspring of Jacob’s 12 sons populated Egypt (we’re talking some generations here) Moses lead the people out of slavery and into the desert. They were considered a “people” in Egypt, but theologically speaking, they weren’t Yahweh’s people as covenanted Jews until they agreed to that at Mt.
