Effective 1999-2000, only those courses described in the Alabama Course of Study: Arts Education, Bulletin 1998, No. 17 (click here) fulfill this requirement. These are courses in music (vocal or instrumental), drama, dance, visual arts, and humanities (as described in the appendix of the course of study).
