Which data transmission rates are used for i-Mode?
2G: download: 9.6kbps or 27.8kbps (note that i-Mode initially in 1999 was introduced for 2G only, however today about 95% of i-Mode users use 3G connections only. 3G (FOMA): download 384kbps, upload: 64kbps 3G-HSDPA (FOMA-High-Speed): download: 3.6Mbps (DoCoMo’s most recent phones, the 906i series, all are for 3G-HSDPA transmission rates) KDDI has essentially terminated all 2G services, and both DoCoMo as well as SoftBank have scheduled 2G (PDC) services for termination.
- Why do dLAN devices reach higher data transmission rates and range than HomePlug products of other manufacturers, even they use the same HomePlug chip?
- What kind of coaxial cable can be used for Serial Digital Video and similar digital data transmission?
- What other methods, besides data compression, are used to reduce data transmission time?
