Which drug has the highest success rate in helping people medicate the symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)?
I don’t think you can name any one drug because people respond differently to medications. As the parent of a child with ADHD and recently diagnosed myself, we have tried over the years different medications with different results. Medications that have worked well for my son, have not worked well for others and the reverse is true. I think the “success” of a medication is determined by whether or not it helps the patient obtain their goals (focusing,ability to sit still, etc) and minimizes the bad side effects (grumpiness, insomnia, weight loss, etc.). There is no one medication that does that for everyone. Success is dependent upon the patient and their own personal metabolism of the drug.
