Which Foods Have Vitamin D?
Vitamin D is also called cholecalciferol. Having too little Vitamin D causes osteoporosis and a disease called rickets, which was widespread in the United States in the 1930s. This prompted a federal policy change that called for adding Vitamin D to milk. Vitamin D is eaten in foods and is made by the body when it’s exposed to the sun. Vitamin D helps the body make calcium that makes bones strong.
