MSR series is fully compatible with AR 28/46 series interface modules and types: SIC interface modules of AR 28-09 and AR 28-1X; MIM interface modules of AR 28-3X/40/80 that are used for MSR 30-20/40/60 routers; FIC interface modules of AR 46 series that are used for MSR 50 series routers.? In addition, MSR series supports the following new interface modules: ESM module: a pinch card module inserted on the main board. Now encryption module is available and pinch card modules of other services will come in the future. AR 46 series also supports this kind of encryption pinch card module on the ERPU MPU. DSIC module: a SIC module establishing a connection between two SIC card slots. Now it is used to support 9-port SIC Layer 2 Ethernet switching module.
