Which is best online resource for cheapest cameras?
Amazon.com is probably your best bet, but you could also try B&H Photo, Ritz Camera, Adorama, and possibly Calumet. Avoid any online source that promises you absurdly low prices – they do things like not include battery chargers that should be included and then charge you double what it actually costs and you HAVE to have it. Stay with the ones I mentioned and you should be OK. There is also something to be said for going to a local camera store and paying a little extra. I am going to do that when I buy a Nikon D700 camera because the service at the store is excellent and a camera that expensive and complex if it breaks down would need to be shipped to the supplier. If my camera breaks down I can drive a few blocks to the camera store and get the matter taken care of right away – something very important if you are making a living in photography and HAVE to have a camera.
