I agree with the last answer: it is considered better for the environment to allow water through the paving, so block paving (without using cement) would be better. Depends on what is important to you. ... more

i don't know much about this myself but my partner is a builder and tries to put people off having block paving since it looks nice to begin with but after awhile the weeds start to appear it depends i suppose how much you want to have to maintain it afterwards we actually have a tarmac drive which looks clean and tidy still after a few years ... more

Neither is better, it come down to personal choice. I was going for block paving until my mate suggested PIC. He had his drive done with pattern imprinted concrete years ago and it still looks as good as new where as with blocks you will get the weeds growing through. Just make sure whoever does it knows what they are doing and are not a cowboy outfit because whichever you choose both can go **** up if not done right. ... more
