Which is better tire: Michelin HydroEdge or Goodyear Assurance TripleTred?

I room in upstate New York. I need a solid all season tire (I don’t get snow tires; and don’t devise to) that can handle a mix of weather conditions including dry roads, heavy rain, and in the winter have penetrating traction on snow and ice (I try to avoid driving in the snow and ice but its hard to avoid). I like both HydroEdge and TripleTred but I am not guaranteed which is the better tire and which is the better tire in the snow/ice.
