Which is more accurate, DNA sequencing or amino acid sequencing?

DNA sequencing is more accurate – it gives you the exact sequence of DNA and will show any and all changes between 2 organisms. This is not true of protein sequencing because you can have several codons that can result in the same amino acid. For example: If one organism has GCA at the DNA level and GCG at the DNA level, they will both give phenylalanine at the amino acid level. You would’t be able to see the variation looking at the protein level alone.
