I think it might be Disney’s Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs back in 1937. The director was David hand. Check out www.imdb.com If this wasn’t the earliest full length animated movie it was sure one of the first. I also might check the European film industry during the 20’s and 30’s, in particular the German film industry, they had reputation for experimentation and doing things way ahead of their times.
