Which is the optimal relation between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in a skin-and fur product?
There is no absolute evidence for the optimal ratio between or dose of the omega 6/ omega 3 fatty acids. Many studies have been published describing the benefit of EFA in atopic dogs and often a product with the ratio between 5:1 and 10:1 has been used. This is still not evidence enough for stating the optimal ratio according to key opinion leaders in dermatology.
