Toys are in some ways more difficult because the interfaces are less forgiving than say a piano key, which is designed to accommodate the width of a human finger. Just getting two toys to play together in tune is often a challenge. As is timing, accuracy and reliability, but you must remember that it is not a competition as to which is best. It is just that all instruments have their own value, depending on both the context and what you want to say with the music. Do you like playing conventional instruments at all? I have read that you have previously used telescopes to create a new musical instrument… I have a long-term love affair with the analogue synthesizer and I still love to play the piano and the guitar but I would probably never do so in front of an audience. These instruments are very pleasurable to play, and are very good for telling stories about how you feel.
