Which lucky thirteen projects will be funded by Sunbury City Council?
SUNBURY Sunbury City Council was presented with thirteen proposed projects for the city, to be paid in part by Community Development Block Grant funds. Chief of the Community Development Program at SEDA COG Bill Seigel said this is the final step in the process and its time for the council to rank them in order of importance and allocate funding. Some of the projects include parking lot development and lighting in the city, street improvements, upgrades to Stroh Alley and water meter installation. While the council said it would be most favorable to complete all 13 projects. Councilmember John Shipman says there are some which have priority, including the Riverfront project, equipment for the Sunbury Fire Department and Fire Police, recreation, beautification and the demolition of vacant properties in the city.
