Part of the problem is perpetual water seepage The city Transportation and Planning design group has accepted the recommendations of the Public Art Group, a highly respected organization, vetted and passed on by a focus group led by South East Chicago Commission and the offices of Aldermen Hairston and Preckwinkle. (One mural, that on the south wall of 56th- "Where Do You Come From. Where Have You Been.." by Olivia Gude- has already been partially restored by the Public Art Group with SECC funding.)
