Which Mist Eliminators Work Best for Screw Machines and Lathes?
A screw machine, such as a Swiss lathe, makes best use of electrostatic precipitators to remove oil mist, smoke and fine metal particles. Media based mist eliminators can be used, but electrostatic precipitators used in oil smoke mist eliminators are more efficient at removing the type of contaminants produced by screw machines. Electrostatic oil mist eliminators also do a better job recycling your expensive metal cutting fluid than media based mist eliminators which tend to soak up the machine fluid in the porous filter media.
