If the system is under warranty, call Dell. I’m assuming it’s not, since you are talking about replacing parts. When you say you “cleaned out the fans” what exactly did you do? If you just blew some air into the fan openings, that really doesn’t do much. On most notebooks, you really need to open it up and clean the dust off of the heatsinks. This dust builds up and can block all airflow with no external signs of dust. If there is a blockage due to dust, this may not register on the fan diagnostics (they just measure fan RPM).
