Which ofthe four matters, solid, liquid, gas and plasma is electricity?
Electricity is not a state of matter, but rather a “flow” of electrons. The resistance to this flow by matter or its lack can be called conductivity. Side effects to this flow can be expressed as heat, light, or even higher-frequency radiations of the electromagnetic sort. (Google for Free-Electron Lasers ands their applications in medicine and weaponry) Plasma is a gas in which many of its components are ionized. Examples are flame, lightning, and the Sun. It is considered a fourth state of matter because it behaves like all of the other three at from some aspect. plasma readily flows electricity, and common gases do not. The neon light does not conduct electricity and give off light as a side-effect until it is excited to a plasma state.
