I’d probably avoid the first week in March because Zone C of French schools are on the last week of their winter holiday – see http://about-france.com/school-holidays.… for a calendar. Some UK schools break up for the Easter holidays in the last week in March. Probably the middle two weeks would be your best bet. Check out Mont Vallon at the far end of the Meribel/Motteret valley for two lovely red runs that are well suited to confident intermediate skiers and above. The snow conditions here are often the best in the whole valley – due to their height and that they’re slightly off the beaten track for skiers who are ‘doing the Three Valleys’ going to and from Courchevel and Val Thorens on either side of
