Which parts of the body does a rowing machine tone?
If done correctly using the right technique, the legs benefit most. By correct technique, in a nutshell, I mean: start sitting upright, legs straight, arms straight out in front of you. Swing your body forward and start bending your knees once your hands have passed over your knees. Once fully compressed (arms straight) push with your legs and then when your legs are straight, swing your body back and pull in with your arms. Your legs are doing most of the work and will tone up really quickly. With good posture your stomach muscles with also benefit. Your arms will tone up if you row regularly and you’ll notice a difference across your upper back too. Rowing machines are great pieces of equipment if used properly!
