This year, project managers have been hot property in the City, so much so that many technologists in junior roles within investment banks have taken it upon themselves to up-skill in a bid to move up into a more senior position. But what project management qualification is most likely to improve your employment prospects? To the seasoned professional, this might seem obvious, but there are a few options to choose from, each with its own merits. Broadly speaking project management qualifications fall into three camps – PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) run by APMG for the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), the APMP offered by the Association for Project Management and the certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
