Which samsung branded digital camera is the best?
None. Samsungs are cheap because they’re rubbish, the number of people on Yahoo Answers asking about a faulty Samsung is significantly higher than any other brand. You’re also looking for too many megapixels, you need to be thinking 6-8mp unless you plan on printing poster sized photos, for which a crappy 13mp P&S is still going to fail. So in terms of brands, I now shoot Canon SLRs, Leica Rangefinders and have a Sony for ultra compact. For your average compact camera (not those stupidly small ones), I’d recommend Canon, Nikon and Panasonic. While if you’re going for something ultra compact, nothing will beat the top of the Sony Cybershot T range, a regular award winner in the ultra compact class (I’m talking about a camera smaller than my phone). Also in terms of ergonomics I have found that you can’t beat an SLR, but then I want to be able to change my shutter and aperture very quickly and beyond that not much else.
