Which scientists is responsible for the basic idea of the atom we have today?
It all depends on what is meant by “basic idea of the atom” because ideas of atom evolved in time and it’s difficult to give credit for discovery to a single scientist. But since a hint in form of few letters is given, expected answer is Rutherford.
