Which skin whitening products is deemed most effective?
Alpha Hydroxy Acid exfoliates and increases the cell turnover rate so that it can remove hyperpigmentation. Research has also shown that lactic and glycolic acids (2 forms of AHA) can inhibit melanin production separate from their exfoliant actions. At a dermatologist’s office they perform face peels using AHA of a concentration of 50-70%. You can purchase over the counter AHA products with a much lesser percent. You will need to use something that can sit on the skin to penetrate and not just a simple face wash or it will not be effective. I use Olay Regenerist Daily Thermal Mini Peel. You wet your face, apply it, let it sit for a minute, re-wet it, wait for a minute and 1 more time then rinse it off. You can re-wet it once or twice depending on how strong you want it to be.
