The worst of the Great Depression was in 1931-1933. Almost all countries were affected due to declining international trade. Among major countries, it was probably worst in the USA and in Germany, especially as to unemployment. The Depression started in the USA and the German economy had been so weakened by the peace treaty after World War I that economic circumstances in Germany also became very bad.
