While i brush my teeth it hurts really bad and my gums start to bleed?
Hi. Your first mistake is using a hard brush. You should never use a hard toothbrush, a soft or extra soft toothbrush is only recommended. This is because the hard bristles cause tiny lacerations and microscopic damage to your gum tissue. Your gums will start to receed , from Tooth Brush Abrasion! They do not grow back. You can keep your gums healthy, by brushing with a soft brush, placed gently on the gum line at 45 degree angle , and using slight pressure to massage the gum. Don’t SCRUB! Gently massage and vibrate the bristles, then sweep over the tooth and off at the upper edge (incisal, or cutting surface of your tooth) Try to be gentle, overlap as you work along. It should take you 2-3 minutes to do your whole mouth. Use Crest or Colgate toothpaste, and I really recommend using Listerine (such as Cool Mint). Yes, it stings a little, but that is because it is actually killing the bacteria that causes the bleeding gums and bad breath! Use listerine at morning and night.
