Who accredits the Professional Military Education (PME), the Joint Professional Military Education, the Masters of Military Arts & Science (MMAS) degree at CGSC?
The US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Quality Assurance Office (QAO) accredits the PME programs throughout the Army. The TRADOC QAO sends a team to the institution to review PME programs and accredits those programs for three years. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is responsible for implementing the guidance on joint education from the Goldwater-Nichols Act of 1986. Through the publication of the Officer Professional Military Education Policy, the Chairman regularly reviews Department of Defense institutions that provide joint professional military education (JPME) through Process of Accreditation of Joint Education (PAJE) teams that visit institutions periodically. Accreditations of JPME programs are valid for up to six years.
