The Far-Right Political Christians…. In our new century, these people appear to be the equivalent of those ancient zealots. While most infamous for their culpability in the removal of Jesus as a threat to their rigid dogma, the Pharisees and their even more fanatical brethren, the Sadducees, made rigid adherence to Mosaic Law, and condemnation of violators their forte…… The big difference with our new breed is that “New Testament Law” has become the current dogma, although it certainly appears that shrill condemnation, and violent persecution of anyone questioning “The Law” seems to have survived the past two millenia intact…….
