Who Attends the AMIA Annual Conference?
The annual AMIA Conference is the largest gathering of motion picture and recorded sound archivists and interested professionals. 500-700 annual attendees include members and colleagues from the world’s major media institutions, including the Library of Congress, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), the British Film Institute, Netherlands Filmmuseum, UCLA Film and Television Archive and George Eastman House, the major studios – Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. – as well as library, university, military and other institutions. AMIA’s Annual Conference offers a forum for all areas of the field to come together. In addition to archival institutions, attendees include laboratories, providers of digital asset management systems, storage solutions and other colleagues in the field.
